Quick answer

Moving well means surviving. Alternate tactical sprint (fast but loud) and walking (silent) based on enemy proximity, use slides and dives to break the enemy's aim and reposition, always plate in cover, and strafe/jump in duels. A player who moves well is far harder to hit than a static one.

With equal weapons, movement makes the difference. Here are the fundamentals to be harder to hit and survive longer.

Tactical sprint vs walk: manage your sound

  • Tactical sprint is fastest… but loud, and it leaves a fraction of a second before you can fire.
  • Near enemies, switch to walking: you're silent and ready to fire instantly. (Pair this with good audio settings to hear them first.)

Slide & dive: break aim and reposition

  • The slide moves you fast, breaks the enemy's line of sight and gets you to cover.
  • The dive is for crossing that last meter to safety or dodging a grenade.
  • Use them to enter/exit a duel, not on loop in the open.

Plate smartly

Re-applying your armor (plates) slows you and leaves you vulnerable. Rule: plate in cover, never in the open. Plan ahead, reload plates before engaging, not mid-fight.

Move in duels

  • Strafe (left-right) constantly: it's harder to aim at a target that keeps changing direction.
  • Jump or slide around angles to surprise.
  • Switch cover after each kill (reposition) so a third party doesn't catch you.

Mantle and redeploy

  • The mantle lets you vault walls and windows, handy for cutting corners and surprising.
  • On redeploy, steer your parachute toward a roof or cover rather than open ground.

FAQ

How do you become harder to hit?

Never stay static: strafe, jump around angles, slide to break aim and switch cover. Unpredictable movement cuts the damage you take.

Should you always sprint?

No: tactical sprint is loud and delays your shot. Near enemies, walk to stay silent and ready to fire.
