43 days from launch (November 19), Rockstar keeps drip-feeding GTA 6. Two official updates in recent days: new images in LOVE Magazine and a real gameplay detail about the police.

Police with a persistent memory

This is the most concrete news. Rob Nelson, Rockstar North co-studio head, explains the team wanted to move past the old system where you could lose the cops instantly… and they'd forget you just as fast.

• Police will have a persistent memory: they remember your clothes and your vehicle.
• Even if you break their line of sight, they'll recognize you later if you haven't changed your look or car.
• No more simple hide-and-seek with the "vision cones" of past GTAs.

"It can be harder, but it's fun. You have to think more," Nelson sums up. Changing outfits or vehicles becomes a real escape tactic, which fits the six-star wanted level seen in the Extended Look.

Three new images in LOVE Magazine

On October 5, Rockstar published a feature in LOVE Magazine with three new screenshots:

• Jason and Lucia at a restaurant,
• the duo in a backyard,
• a blue car on the streets of Vice City.

Rockstar describes its leads as "vulnerable, tough, flawed", a "perfectly imperfect" duo on a crime spree that's "hopeful and naive". No new gameplay mechanics in this piece, but a tone that confirms what we already knew about Jason and Lucia.
